Uncanny Avengers #1 Will Reveal Identity Of Quicksilver And Scarlet Witch's Real Father

Okay, so they're not going to stretch this out much longer.

Marvel's Tom Brevoort has promised, in a call to the press, that the first issue of Uncanny Avengers #1 will tell you exactly the true lineage of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, now that they know they have never been the children of Magneto. Through readers may still have some questions. Of course.

That the first arc of the comic by Rick Remender and Daniel Acuna is set on the Marvel Counter-Earth did bring some to suspect the involvement of the High Evolutionary in their creation. He created the original Counter-Earth in Marvel Premiere #1 back in 1972, with a whole race of accelerated evolution humans, gone bad.

A couple of non-mutants should be relatively easy. Anyway, here's the cover to Uncanny Avengers #4…

A duplicate planet to Earth, located out of site on the opposite side of the sun, in synchronous orbit with the Earth is an old science fiction idea. So it's one that Marvel looted back in the sevenies. And has returned to te dea again and again. The first from 1972's Marvel Premiere saw the High Evolutionary use the Infinity Gems to create it, to create is own version of humanity, highly accelerated but turned rather violent. A nasty place to live, without superheroes to save it. Adam Warlock become its champion for a time and the planet was eventually collected and then destroyed by Thanos.

The second was built using thorty cosmic cubes and destroyed at the end of the Infinity Crusade.

The Heroes Reborn titles by Jim Lee and Rob Liefeld (more on those later) were retro-fitted to be on a third Counter Earth created by Franklin Richards. The Thunderbolts took residence there for a while as well.It was eventually destroyed by Proteus in a battle wit the Exiles.

The fourth Counter-Earth was also created by Richards as a duplicate of his original in a fight with Onslaught.

Is this the fifth? Or the first reborn?
