'RPG Maker Fes' & 'Ys Vlll' Among NIS America's Big Announcements

NIS America dropped a ton of updates last night, including new title announcements and release dates. We won't bore you with an entire recount of the press conference, and instead, get right to the awesome parts you want to know about. First up, Ys Vlll: Lacrimosa of DANA will be coming in the fall for PS4, PS Vita, and Steam. This marks the first new chapter of the series since 2009, and the latest Ys title since 2012. The game is available for pre-order now. The company had this to say on the title itself:

Ys returns with a brand new adventure for the first time in 8 years! Adol awakens shipwrecked and stranded on a cursed island. There, he and the other shipwrecked passengers he rescues form a village to challenge fearsome beasts and mysterious ruins on the isolated island. Amidst this, Adol begins to dream of a mysterious blue-haired maiden living in an unknown world. Join Adol as he unravels the riddle of the cursed isle and the blue-haired maiden Dana in Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana!

Next up is a surprise that a lot of RPG fans are going to be drooling over for the next few months. RPG Maker Fes will be making it's way to North America and Europe on the 3DS this summer. Not a lot of details beyond that, but the mechanics behind it look pretty simple and cool, and it's nice to know you can share your game with other players online.

The remaining three titles to make the big announcement are Culdcept Revolt (Nintendo 3DS), Touhou Kobuto V: Burst Battle (PS4, PS Vita), and Tokyo Tattoo Girls (PS Vita, Steam), the first two slated for the summer and the third sometime in 2017. All three titles have already made their debut in Japan, now it's just a matter of hammering out a date for North American and Europe.
