Didn't Get To Play 'NBA Playgrounds' Online With The Switch? You're Getting A Free Copy Of 'Shaq Fu'

When NBA Playgrounds launched last week, players discovered one glaring issue that ruined a lot of the game for them on the Nintendo Switch: There was no online gameplay. However, Saber Interactive isn't going to just let you suffer for helping them out. They're giving Nintendo purchasers a special gift for the snafu… A free copy of Shaq Fu.

No, seriously. Back in April, we talked about the new Shaq Fu game being produced by the indie development team, which will act as a spiritual successor to the original 1994 fighting game that was dubbed one of the worst releases of all time. The game is being setup to launch sometime later this year, with rumors we may actually see it at E3, if not on the floor then somewhere outside the convention. Now with the issues of their other basketball influenced game, Matthew Karch, the chief executive of Saber Interactive announced on Facebook the free gift for Switch owners as compensation.

Shaq Fu jokes aside, at the very least, at least the company recognizes they messed up and are trying to make it up to people. Also, it's nice to see the trailer pokes fun at everything about the series, so hey, it might actually be good.
