Richard Shepard's (Girls) romantic short film Tokyo Project has found a home at a very familiar spot for Shepard, as HBO announced that it will be broadcasting the 30-minute short from the Girls director on Saturday, October 14th at 10 p.m. EST.

Girls co-creators Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner are serving as executive producers with Karen J. Lauder, with the film's production being coordinated through Dunham and Konner's A Casual Romance and Karen J. Lauder's Priority Pictures.

Premiering at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival, Tokyo Project follows two strangers as we explore their mysterious romance while they explore Tokyo's nightlife. Produced, written, and directed by Shepard, the film stars Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men, Top of the Lake), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Damages, The Punisher), and Shu Kakizawa (The Great Fear, Minami).

"This was a true labor of love," Shepard said. "Shooting in Tokyo with this perfect cast and crew. And to have it end up at HBO is my dream come true. HBO has always been so supportive of my creative work. It's a perfect outcome."
