What Happens With Cyclops? Extermination Begins Today in X-Men: Gold #27

We teased this yesterday, but now we've been to the comic shop.

At the back of today's X-Men: Gold #27 has an unsolicited one-page story by Ed Brisson and Oscar Bazaldua titled Countdown to Extermination.

Extermination was the teased new series that some saw as signalling the end of X-Men: Gold and X-Men: Blue to make way for a new Uncanny X-Men #1, and deal with the nature of the time-travelling Original 5 X-Men.

Note that the X-Men still have a headquarters in Central Park in twenty years time. That Cyclops is alive. But it may be his teen self now aged further, and who never went back in time to become his earlier self. Maybe that's the same with Jean Grey, Is that also Bloodstorm? Angel has newer glowy wings, And Kitty Pryde is still in charge. But where is Colossus? And we have a demon Beast again….
