Guillermo del Toro Gets His Own Action Figure from NECA for SDCC 2018

Guillermo del Toro is becoming an action figure. NECA will produce a limited run of 2,000 action figures of the most recent Best Director Oscar winner for SDCC this year. NECA is also producing figures based on his films, such as Pan's Labyrinth and The Devil's Backbone. The figure features cloth clothing, stands at eight inches tall, and comes with his book of notes used to create Pan's Labyrinth. Here are some photos of the figure, first seen on EW.com:

Guillermo del Toro creates dark, beautiful movies, infused with a visual poetry that speaks directly to the heart of the viewer. In conjunction with the launch of the Guillermo del Toro Signature Collection of action figures, #NECA celebrates the visionary film director with his own figure.

This fully articulated tribute stands 8" tall and comes with a replica of the notebook del Toro used to record his notes and sketches for the award-winning movie Pan's Labyrinth.

His most recent film The Shape of Water was this year's big winner at the Academy Awards, taking home four statues for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Score, and Best Production Design. It was nominated in 13 categories in total. Del Toro's next projects include a film based on the young adult book Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and a horror anthology for Netflix called Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight. He has previously worked on films like Blade 2, the two Hellboy films, Pacific Rim, Crimson Peak, and numerous other film projects. He serves as the creator and executive producer for the Netflix cartoon Trollhunters and has directed episodes for shows like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Simpsons, and The Strain, which he also produced and wrote for.
