Fantastic Four #1 Loses 8 Pages, but None That You'd Miss

All hands are on deck for the launch in August by Marvel of the new Fantastic Four #1 by Dan Slott and Sara Pichelli.

Such as adding a Hidden Gem variant cover, reusing internal art by Jack Kirby as a cover. Retailers will also get one black-and-white version of this cover per store.

Retailers have also been informed that it will be a slightly smaller volume than anticipated, shrinking from 56 pages to 48 pages.

However, they are assured that the won't lose any story or editorial pages, with a fulsome 43 pages worth, the same as originally planned. Just expect a few fewer ads, in-house or external.

It should also save a little on shipping costs too.

And if you are still feeling cheated, well, Spider-Man Annual #1, telling the post-Secret Wars origin of Miles Morales in the Marvel Universe, will now have 48 pages, instead of the previously solicited 40 pages.

So, you know, it all evens out in the end.
