NECA Horror Halloween Announcements: Laurie Strode, F13 Remake Jason NES Figures Return!

NECA is making action figures collectors very happy today, as they have made a slew of announcements for new and returning figures in their Ultimate horror line. First, two of their most popular figures will be returning as Gamestop exclusives: the NES versions of Jason and Freddy. If you missed these before, don;t wait again. They are up for order now, the links are in the descriptions below.

We also are getting an Ultimate version of Jason from 2009's remake of Friday The 13th. NECA always knocks Jason out of the park, and this one looks just as hulking and creepy as the film. He will ship in early 2019.

Lastly, one of the most anticipated horror figures of all-time is on the way, as we finally get a Laurie Strode figure. This will be Laurie from this year's hit Halloween, and even though this is just a teaser, it already looks amazing. No other info on it yet, but we can;t wait until it is finally revealed.

Check everything out below! Thanks NECA!

Friday the 13th – 7 inch Scale Figure – Jason (Classic Video Game Appearance Retail release with Theme Music)

To celebrate the 13th figure in our classic video game tribute series, we're bringing back the one that started it all! Previously available only as a convention exclusive, Jason is back and better than ever, with different deco, a new accessory and special packaging that plays theme music from the original video game. Based on his appearance in the classic Friday the 13th video game, released in 1989 for the popular 8-bit home console, Jason stands 7″ and has over 25 points of articulation for great poses. The figure comes with machete, axe, harpoon gun and removable mask, plus new "floating" mother's head accessory. New paint deco reproduces the game's pixilated look. And not only does the window box packaging re-create the look and feel of the classic video game cartridge box, lift the front flap and it plays music from the game, too!

Nightmare on Elm St -7 inch Scale Figure Freddy Video Game

Back by popular demand and upgraded! The Classic Video Game Freddy Krueger is inspired by the "so bad it's good" Nightmare on Elm Street video game that was released in 1989 for the super popular 8-bit home console. This garishly colored Freddy is a cult classic if ever there was one and now features the new Ultimate body, with over 30 points of articulation. The 7″ scale figure comes in display-worthy window box packaging with opening flap that re-creates the look and feel of the classic 1989 video game box.

For the 10th anniversary of the 2009 Friday the 13th reboot, NECA presents the Ultimate 2009 Jason action figure!

The 2009 film reimagined Jason in a different (but still terrifying) light, and this figure is extra-detailed to match. It features two interchangeable heads (one has a removable mask) and the all-new, extra-articulated Ultimate body, plus loads of accessories: machete, axe, fire poker, hammer and screwdriver.

Comes in display-friendly window box packaging with opening flap.
