It's been two weeks since we've had a new episode of The Gifted. The second season only has two episodes left and tomorrow the second to last episode is set to air. We were left on a bit of a cliffhanger the last time, though, and if you want to stay spoiler-free about the fate of a certain character then it would be best to avoid the rest of this post. We have the promo and summary, which was posted not long after the episode aired two weeks ago, but now we have sixteen images to go along with them. The promo also seems like it might be giving out a massive spoiler, but there is a decent chance that it's a fake out. That isn't the type of thing that usually ends up in promos but we'll have to see.
When one of the Inner Circle goes missing, Reeva intensifies security in their compound, but realizes that her plans may have already been exposed. Furious and paranoid, Reeva resorts to violence. Caitlin and Reed consider using the serum to restrict Lauren's use of her powers, hoping it will help her as she wrestles with nightmares about the Inner Circle and her ancestors. And it's the battle of two extreme ideologies when the Morlocks and the Purifiers come face-to-face in battle in the all-new "calaMity" episode of THE GIFTED airing Tuesday, Feb. 12 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The fate of The Gifted is very much up in the air still. There hasn't been any word from Fox one way or another about if it is going to get renewed. There has been a lot of blood in the water when it comes to Marvel TV with four shows([Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Daredevil, Legion) either getting canceled or announcing that the upcoming season will be the last. The ratings for the second season also haven't been very good so these last two episodes might be the last time we get to see these characters.
The first and second seasons, up to the current episode, are currently available on Hulu and it's worth checking out. If nothing else, this show has given up a comic accurate tiara for one of Magneto's daughters which MCU has not done yet.
Action-adventure family drama THE GIFTED, from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
Created by Matt Nix, FOX's The Gifted stars Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker, Natalie Alyn Lind, Percey Hynes White, Sean Teale, Emma Dumont, Jamie Chung, and Blair Redford. It returns on February 12th at 9 PM.
