Dark Horse Comics to Publish Critical Role Art Book

Dark Horse Comics came to Diamond's Retail Summit, held in Las Vegas this weekend, to promote their upcoming politics to comic book retailers across the USA – and beyond. Dark Horse has the comic book license to the web TV series Critical Role in which a group of professional voice actors play Dungeons & Dragons. It is also the name of the studio owned by the cast.

The Critical Role storyline is nade uo of campiagns, story arcs and character backstory set in Exandria, a world of Matthew Mercer's creation. And their fans pack comic cons or other appearances by the cast. A comic book that tells the tales of the beginning of Vox Machina pre-stream and pre-game written by Matthew Colville, drawn by Olivia Samson, and colored and lettered by Chris Northrop has been published by Dark Horse Comics with a second series on the way by Jody Houser, Olivia Samson, MSASSYK, and Ariana Maher.

And at Las Vegas, Dark Horse took the opportunity to announce that they are to publish a Critical Role art book, along the lines of their Zelda: History Of Hyrule title. These immense coffee table books focusing on video gaming have been insanely popular, and Critical Role's involvement is only likely to make this book even more popular.

You can follow the rest of Bleeding Cool's coverage of Diamond Retail Summit, far more than any other comics news site, right here.
