LATE: Batman Damned #3 Slips Another Month, Joined by Goddess Mode and Shazam!
The final issue of Batman Damned #3 by Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo was originally solicited for March, on a bi-monthly schedule. But that was before Batman's penis appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and newly appointed publisher Pamela Lifford had to tip the entirety of DC Comics' schedule in the bin and start again, while the entire line was gone over with a microscope, many changes were imposed not only on the Black Label line but across the board, leading to, amongst others, the cancellation of the Second Coming series, now picked up by Ahoy Comics.
Batman Damned #2 had to be redrawn in part by Bermejo and received major delays. While the third chapter had its orders cancelled and the comic rescheduled to the 22nd of May.
Well, as you can tell, that date has been and gone, Batman Damned #3 has been slipping down the schedules and is now set to publish on the 26th June. Which does give retailers another chance to increase their orders. Or decrease them, depending.
Meanwhile, Goddess Mode #6 which has also been sliding down the dates, also originally planned for 22nd May, and now dropping down another week to the 19th June.
While Shazam! #7, originally planned for the 19th of June is now rescheduled for the 3rd of July. While Shazam! #8 has slipped from the 17th of July to the 31st of July. Is two weeks apart achievable?
