Chris Hardwick's Comedy Heavy Comic Festival Comes To Silicon Valley

Chris Hardwick, the nerd version of Ryan Seacrest, is continuing his pop culture take over.  The man behind The Nerdist website, also the hugely popular post- The Walking Dead series on AMC (The Talking Dead) and Comedy Central's @Midnight game show, Hardwick is moving into outdoor festivals.

Headlining several well received comedy tours over the years, Chris is bringing his unique fan-bent hilarity to the Shoreline Amphitheater in San Jose California over the weekend of June 24th-25th 2017. The ID10T Music Festival + Comic Conival event boasts several notable personalities watchers of Comedy Central will recognize.

Chris Hardwick's Comedy Heavy Comic Festival Comes To Silicon Valley

On the music side of things, we've got Weezer, Girl Talk, TV on the Radio, OK Go, Animal Collective, Lord Huron, Car Seat Headrest, Crystal Castles, Robert DeLong, Mothers and Ron Gallo. There is also a 'hard partying dance tent' featuring acts like Madeon, Zeds Dead, Jai Wolf and Toyboi.

Comedy offerings include Demetri Martin and Michael Che, along with Nikki Glaser, Michael Ian Black, Garfunkel & Oates, Brian Posehn and April Richardson.  Richardson will be hosting both days at the Monster Energy Drink Comedy Tent, funfact.

ID10T Fest will attempt to merge the  energy of a traditional music festival with all the fun of a comic convention, meaning there will be cosplay, podcasts, panels, autograph signings, games, rides and more. Companies like Boom! Studios, Valiant, Oni, Top Shelf and Insight Editions will also be on-hand on the festival grounds, making this kind of like the sales pavilion at SDCC but REALLY outside.

Tickets are available for the weekend event, single day passes (for Saturday or Sunday) run about $45 for the lower end and upwards of $100 for the closer to the stage area. There are also weekend passes available for $175, which reads like the best deal.  Children 10 and under are free, which makes this a pretty good deal all things considered for the summer season.
