Fifteen Thoughts About Fifteen Comics – Darkness, Ghosted, Storm Dogs, Eerie, Great Pacific, X, Fabulous Killjoys, Breath Of Bones, Avengers Arena, Wolverine, Nightwing, Superior Spider-Man, East Of West, Peter Panzerfaust And America's Got Powers

The Darkness decides to tell the its story through action figures. Robot Chicken Darkness? Sexual relationships are expressed in a number of ways through comic books today, some more obvious than others.

Ghosted #1 also plays fast and loose with sexual politics, with a heist team being put together to steal… a ghost. And be rather rude to each other in the process.

Storm Dogs has a rather aggressive bedroom attitude too. I know some people find threats of violence a turn on but…no.

Although it could be worse I suppose. Eerie Comics #3 has a different ultimate fate of man. To be fair, both are probably bad.

And in Great Pacific, there are some things in bed no one wants to wake up to.

And X#3 solves that pesky problem of adult masturbation in one.

The highly sexually charged True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys rather chooses to plump for the future bureaucratic despair of getting a new cellphone battery. There's a truth here, it's been said we're three square meals away from the collapse of civilisation. I'm wondering if we're actually only one battery charge away…

Breath Of Bones takes time out for a little redecoration. After the kids have been playing, my wife often says the place looks like a pigsty. I'm going to show her this comic.

Avengers Arena totally flips on the last issue, a bit like someone turning the chessboard round when their back is turned. And playing by the rules doesn't get you anywhere.

Mirco Pierfederici was solicited to be the artist of issue 6 of Wolverine but Tom Palmer was added as inker. Their separate work can be rather spectacular but together… no. It's like the portfolio of someone who just isn't ready, as a classic inker meets the pencil work of a digital painter.

While Young Avengers shows a page made up entirely of Pinterest entries, Nightwing makes a face palm reference. You be the judge.

Superior Spider-Man really has thought things through. Including anyone doing to him what he's already done to Peter. You know what? Obviously Dan Slott has a plan to revert the whole situation. But I'd be damned if I have a clue how…

Will people please stop taking people's heads off? There's just too much of  it about right now. Yes, East Of West, I'm talking to you.

Peter Panzerfaust clearly thinks this song is about him.Which it is. Arse.

Yes, it's David Tennant. Stunt casting in comics doesn't always work, but when Bryan Hitch draws them it really works. And America's Got Powers gets closer to its long awaited conclusion…
