Mirka Andolfo's Sex Comedy Un/Sacred Finds an American Home with Ablaze

As Mirka Andolfo's Unnatural comes to an end at Image Comics, a thematic prequel is coming out from another publisher – who has already nabbed one comic that might have been expected to come out from Image Comics.

Ablaze, already publishing Charlie Adlard's Vampire State Building, are to translate into English and publish Mirka Andolfo's Un/Sacred in the US as a 6-issue limited series, with issue 1 launching this November. With a collection of the work will be published next year in trade format.

She's not abandoning Image Comics entirely though, as her new project Mercy from Panini and Glenat, will be published in English by Image Comics.

Un/Sacred goes to the Preacher well as Angelina, a voluptuous angel, and Damiano, a mischievous devil, are madly in love. But, while she does not intend to give in to temptation, he would very much like to… This is the tale of their bizarre and spicy daily life.

Mirka Andolfo said "I'm excited to see Un/Sacred published in the United States! I'm still very attached to this book, my very first experience as a creator. I hope that American readers will enjoy the strange adventures of Angelina and Damiano! And I'm very grateful to Ablaze, which strongly wanted this project!"

Mirka Andolfo's Un/Sacred #1 will go on sale on the 13th of November, with covers by Mirka Andolfo, Lorenzo De Felici and Elias Chatzoudis, and Ablaze is inviting retailers to commission exclusive covers.
