Star Wars Rebels Final Season Debuts On October 16th…New Trailer!

Star Wars Rebels, the excellent animated series on Disney XD, is moving. And going away. Forever.

Star Wars Rebels Final Season Debuts On October 16th…New Trailer!

The show will come to a close after the upcoming Forth Season, which was just announced to premiere Monday, October 16. The move to Mondays is new, as previous seasons have aired on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Fridays. After a tense and memorable Season 3 that featured the debut of Grand Admiral Thrawn, the final fate of Darth Maul, all the Mandalore history and lore you could hope for, and appearances from Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mon Mothma, Bail Organa, Saw Gerrera, and more saga characters you know and love, the pieces are moved into place for what should be quite an epic finale.

Star Wars Rebels Ahsoka Tano

One thing fans will be hoping for is an answer to the final fate of former Jedi Ahsoka Tano. Last we saw her, she was in a collapsing cave fending off her former master Anakin Skywalker, or Darth Vader if you're nasty. All sorts of fan theories and speculation has been running wild since that fateful encounter that we only saw Anakin walk away from. Like everyone else, I am hoping for a resolution and not a vague answer to what her fate may be, like could she be a wolf or an owl?

As revealed at a panel at FanExpo Toronto today, here is the new Season 4 trailer:

X-Wings!!! Kanan and Hera having meaningful conversations! Death Troopers! More Thrawn! Looks like even more ties to Rogue One, hopefully even more characters from that film stop by for an appearance as well. It for sure looks like they will be at Yavin quite a bit this season. Also: all the Hera. Give her the most epic season we can ever hope for, she deserves that and so much more. And those dang wolves are around…

Man, can it be October already?

The final season of Star Wars Rebels premieres on Disney XD Monday, October 16th.
