The Bleed Episode 10: Reading The Little Prince With Ryan Burton, Danni Norris And Chase Magnett

By Joseph Kyle Schmidt

The Bleed is a weekly book club by Bleeding Cool contributors Joseph Schmidt and Sam Morse. The group meets every Wednesday on Google Hangout to discuss news, the latest comics, creator interviews and the pick of the week.

Back to basics this week and we're reading the classic children's story The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, adapted as a graphic novel by Joann Sfar.

This week we are welcoming back one of our first guests, Ryan Burton of Dark Engine from Image Comics. This is Ryan's pick for the week, and we're glad to have him once again! Also joining us is Danni Norris of Dr. Fantasy's Comics 'n More in Glendale, Arizona! Danni runs the shop where Joseph buys his comics, and they always argue over whether Cyclops is either the worst or best X-Man.

Also, Sam isn't able to join us this week, so co-hosting duties will be shared with another returning guest, Chase Magnett of ComicBook.com. Chase is quickly making a name for himself as one of the best new reviewers of contemporary comics and as always he'll be providing thoughtful insight to the discussion.

You can download us if you're on the go here or take a listen below. We're looking to get listed on the iTunes directory and making it as easy as possible for you to stay updated with all of our latest ramblings. Look forward to that soon!

Next week we are discussing Punk Rock Jesus by Sean Gordon Murphy, which was picked by Bleeding Cool's own Alex Wilson. Alex will be joining the show, as will kick-ass artist Sina Grace, former editor of the Walking Dead and Invincible who is now the artist for titles such as Lil Depressed Boy, Self-Obsessed, and Burn the OrphanageClick here to view the Google Hangout.
