The Dialogue Tics Of Brian Bendis In This Week's Avengers Assemble

Some people refuse to acknowledge how Brian Bendis' dialogue has changed as he's grown as a writer. They see him as just a Mamet-mimic, only going for quick-fire interrupted dialogue that rarely pushes plot and often makes characters seem indistinguishable. And while Bendis certainly has those tics, I think it's fair to say he's changed over the last ten years and those tics have also changed. Specifically, his tics have become less prominent.

Except today, in Avengers Assemble, where those tics are far more prominent than ever before.

And it's all thanks to Bug.
