Hasbro has dropped an impressive assortment of new Transformers Takara Tomy imported figures, and Soundwave was a highlight of this release, with not one but three new figures coming soon. One is a new Takara Tomy New Legends release inspired by the 2022 cartoon Transformers: EarthSpark, and another is a new Missing Link release. However, that is not all, as a second Missing Link Soundwave is on the way, inspired by his appearance in the 1984 cartoon The Transformers. Soundwave is one of Megatron's extremely loyal lieutenants and a deadly Decepticon communications officer and intelligence specialist.

This new Missing Link D-02 Soundwave features an original G1-inspired figure with die-cast elements, upgraded details, and modern articulation. Soundwave will be able to transform into his iconic cassette-player mode and will include an all-new light-up disguise mode, just like the original series. Of course, Soundwave does not come without a companion, and Takara Tomy has included Condor, which can transform into a Cybertronian plane. Accessories for these two will include missiles, laser guns, a concussion blaster, an ejector launcher, headphones, a wire, and a microphone for his disguise. Pre-orders for this impressive Transformers Takara Tomy Missing Link figure are already live for $164.99 on Hasbro Pulse, with a timed April 2027 release.
