Andrew Cartmel Returns To The Doctor Who Masterplan

Andrew Cartmel Returns To The Doctor Who MasterplanThere is fan fiction. And there is fan fiction by someone who used to actually write said fiction.

Andrew Cartmel, ex-Script Director of Doctor Who in the Sylvester McCoy years, is planning to continue the series as if it had never been cancelled in unofficial, unapproved comic book stories, specifically what he has referred to as his Masterplan with a Darker Doctor, that the Virgin New Adventures line of official novels had explored.

This would see the Doctor as one of the early founders of Gallifrey alongside Rassilon and Omega, the emergence of a character called The Other who may be an earlier incarnation of The Doctor.

What elements of these Cartmel will use is unknown, as is the legality of the whole venture, especially considering it is using a social fundraising model through IndieGoGo (with over $2000 on the clock so far).
