Brian Lake writes for Bleeding Cool – and bid at the C2E2 Auction last night.

Saturday night taking place from 7-9 pm was the Charity Art Auction at C2E2, raising $21,950 for St Jude's Hospital.

The auction consisted over 150 pieces of original art ranging from standard commissions to published covers and pages. The auctioneer tonight was Steve Borock from CBCS, Steve was also gracious enough to offer a free grading and certification for anyone who purchased a book in the auction for over $50.

Steve provided insight and background to many of the pieces in the auction as the night played out. Highlights were works from French artist Stephane Roux, who donated two pieces one Harley Quinn color work which fetched over $700 and one Hellboy.

A Carlo Pagulayan page from D.C.'s Deathstroke that went for over $700.

An original Revival Cover from Jenny Frisson.

Two pieces from David Mack one Batman and one.

A Wonder Woman page from D.C.s Rebirth by Liam Sharp went for just one $1000.

Amazing works were from Todd Nauck, Alex Maleev, the great Frank Miller, Keron Grant, Erica Henderson, Mike Perkins, Michael Walsh, and Skybound comics Daniel Warren Johnson just to name a few. Certainly, a lively time was had by all with lively bidding and many of the artists in attendance as well. A great auction with a great cause as well.
