News for the Nekopara series of visual novels about Japanese confection makers who open a patisserie with two catgirls, Chocola and Vanilla, to be turned into a TV anime series by  independent studio Neko Works.

And two more vcisual novels in the franchise, Chatte Noire parts one and two.

On top of the anime series, a second announcement reveals not one, but two new spinoff visual novels, defined "Chatte Noire 1st Project" and "Chatte Noire 2nd Project" respectively.

Type-Moon released the Fate spinoff series Fate/Requiem's first volume with a story set after the Holy Grail War, written by  Meteo Hoshizora and drawn by NOCO.

While Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest a new novel-to-anime airing in the summer launched at the show, alomgside the new novel and manga of the series, with lead character Yue's voice actress Yuki Kuwahara handing out exclusive postcards, while A1 posters of the character were handed out to blood donors at the show.

Singer Sennzai launched her new album Fleurix with a greater musical diversity than usual.

Cosmetics company Kate made their first appearance at the show, having produced a new range of cosplay cosmetics, as well as a special makeup handbook handed out at the show, featuring cosplayers Will, Kasho Rochelle, Itsuki Akira, Eiri and Momotsuki Nashiko.

It was announced that in February, on the occasion of what would have been Osamu Tezuka's 90th birthday, the manga classic I.L will be available for purchase for the first time in decades. Published originally in Shogakukan's Big Comic magazine from 1969 to 1970, I.L was about a movie director working with an actress who can change her appearance, including her gender. The new edition will include new pages not in the original publication. It will also be published in English for the first time. Tezuka's 1967 comic Dororo has also beeb adapted into an anime , premiering on January 7th and available on Amazon Prime outside Japan.

Comiket had a new record for the winter version of the even with 570,000 across all three days.

And while attendance to Comiket is usually free, though the essential printed guide costs, they are considering an entrance fee for the summer's show, Comiket 9,6 as the show deals with a partial change of venue ahead of the Tokyo Olympics, with show's commercial company booths moved to the Aomi Exhibition Hall a mile away from Tokyo Big Sight which will still have the self published tables,  and moves from three days to four. Those that don't buy a guide will need to buy a wristband – but if this goes ahead, they state that certain hours of the show will still be free to attend.
