DC Comics is hitting the surf this July with a new 80-page special featuring ten Summer-themed stories about DC supervillains. DC Comics announced the news in a blog post on Thursday. Creators involved include Paul Dini, Lee Bermejo, Gabriel Hardman, Corinna Bechki, Tim Seeley, Shea Fontana, Carlos D'Anda, David Williams, Otto Schmidt, Amanda Conner, and more. DC Beach Blanket Bad Guys Special #1 will sell for $9.99, so make sure your wallet stays hydrated and waits 30 minutes after paying before going into the water.

So, exactly what kind of fun do the super-powered denizens of the DC Universe have when they go to the beach? Whatever these villains are doing, they have their work cut out for them to surpass their competition over at Marvel…
