How Do You Survive The End Of The World In Secret Wars#1 Anyway? (Speculative SPOILERS)

Yesterday the Marvel and the Ultimate Universes ended in Secret Wars #1. Earth collided with Earth, only a few made it out in a "life raft" and of those, some still didn't make it.

Or did they?

Secret Wars #1 (of 8) (2015) - Page 2

The comic opened with Doctor Doom, Molecule Man and Doctor Strange meeting the Beyonders, carrying on a storyline that began in New Avengers. And the narrator stating quite clearly that God exists.

But which god would this be? And who is speaking now?

Secret Wars #1 (of 8) (2015) - Page 4

Those who have read the original Secret Wars series may recall that Doom himself had a little encounter with that Beyonder.

Secret Wars (2012) - Page 237

And after an initial failure…

Secret Wars (2012) - Page 241

Ended up the victor.

Secret Wars (2012) - Page 253Note that Jonathan Hickman is bringing back all sorts of references to the original series. Such as the life raft that Valerie built with a little help from everyone else?

Secret Wars #1 (of 8) (2015) - Page 31

Being a spitting image of the craft the Beyonder used to kidnap the Marvel Super Heroes for the Secret Wars all those years ago.

Secret Wars (2012) - Page 4So when in those final scenes, as Reed Richards loses his family (and fingers) to the void…. we see a face.

Secret Wars #1 (of 8) (2015) - Page 36Has Doom done it again? Taken the powers of the Beyonders to become a god? And might e be minded to save the family of the Fantastic Four? Maybe save them… for later?

Mindless speculation, that's all…
