More Evidence That CBR Really Has A Problem With Scott Lobdell (UPDATE)

A few weeks ago, we noticed that Comic Book Resources wrote an ode to early Generation X, 15 reasons why with only a side reference to its writer, Scott Lobdell. Indeed, they mentioned Scott Summers three times and he wasn't even in the book.

Well, they have now done a similar ode to the X-Men nineties storyline X-Cutioners Song. And while Peter David gets mentioned for his X-Factor tie-ins, the lead writer of the storyline Scott Lobdell, gets no mention whatsoever. And for that mattr, neither does Fabian Nicieza.

It's been de rigeur in comic book circles to mock Scott Lobdell. But as the nineties revival ramps up, it's hard to ignore that he wrote most of what people remember of it, for good and for ill.

Not to mention writing Marvel's first out gay superhero with Northstar in Alpha Flight and writing a diverse superhero team in Generation X.

I hope we can make up for it.

UPDATE: And a Merry Christmas to Lobdell! CBR has updated this article at least and chosen to mention him twice! And Fabian once!
