ArmageddonQuest. 900 Pages. For Free

ArmageddonQuest. 900 Pages. For FreeIt has a mighty reputation in the comics industry. A graphic novel created on whatever the creator, Ronald Russell Roach, had to hand telling a mighty epic and created over the last twenty years.

The first few issues were published but didn't find a sufficent audience. For most creators they'd have moved on to something else. For Ronald, non-publication didn't matter, he just kept going.

900 pages later, he's finished. And he's giving the entire book away for free through Robot Comics exclusively for Android devices provided by Google.

Damn. Here's a quote.

ARMAGEDDONQUEST squirms and thrashes in a crawlspace it dug out with its bare talons, partway between the early graphic novel and classic "outsider" art. It's the comics version of the demon-haunted work of the young Daniel Johnston, raw, passionate, demented, electric. – Warren Ellis

Here's a preview of the Android-read comic.

Robot Comics have issued the following instructions to access this on your Android device.

To read Armageddonquest on your Android powered device, you'll need to upload the ACV file to your SD card, and then download and install Robot Comics' free Droid Comic Viewer to open and read the comic. Armageddonquest is a non-market app because it's being offered exclusively as part of a Kickstarter fundraiser to produce a limited edition single volume printing of the AQ graphic novel.

The files in question can be found at the Kickstarter page here as well as paid downloads for other devices, and the chance to get a printed copy.
