Critics Quotes-Laden US Trailer For Hayao Miyazaki's The Wind Rises

In an earlier post Brendon pondered how Western audiences might perceive Hayao Miyazaki's latest and likely final film, The Wind Rises, which is in large part a biopic of aeronautic engineer Jiro Horikoshi. Well, the first trailer cut especially for the film's forthcoming US release answers how the studio believes it will be perceived.

Dialogue-free and focused on the beauty of the film, with shots of soaring planes – from paper to mechanical – it is also intercut with American critics' gushing quotes about… the beauty of the film, how it's "visually gorgeous" and "awe-inspiring," which seems to me is pretty obvious just by watching the footage itself.

Anyway, I don't see how anyone needs any reassurance from critics that this film is worth a watch, but in case anyone does, this trailer is for you.
