DC Comics' Immortal Men Cancelled with Issue 6

It was launched as a series created by Jim Lee, as part of the artist-led New Age of Heroes line. Originally announced as being published in October 2017. It was severly delayed until April 2018. But even with six months' delay, Jim Lee was only ever able to draw a part of the first issue and some covers.

Co-created by James Tynion IV, though as the writer he got second billing on the series. the creative line-up switched around, Ryan Benjamin and Richard Friend drawing the following two issues Tyler Kirkham picking up for the final three.

Because yes, Immortal Men is cancelled with #6 in September. The collection will be in October,

James Tynion IV mentioned this just after San Diego Comic-Con, but it may be worth revisiting now… as I was otherwise distracted.

The original plan was for the books to go to at least twelve issues and have a mega-crossover. This is the first to show signs that they may not make it.

Here's how the final issue will end…

The Immortal Men are supposed to be a secret world-saving organization. But that cat will be out of the bag if they can't stop the Infinite Woman and her brood of Bloodless soldiers, commanded by the Kill! And as the fight spills out into the greater DC Universe, which classic DC hero will rise to seek the answer to the unanswerable question: Who are the Immortal Men? (Of course, being dead is a lot worse than going public.)
