Remember that movie called I'm Still Here where Joaquin Phoenix purportedly went crazy and quit his career as an actor to become a rapper but it was all fake? Of course you did, even though you didn't see it. Nobody did. Worldwide grosses barely reached half a million dollars. Phoenix and director Casey Affleck spent two years of their life putting together a mockumentary that nobody wanted.
The question now is what project Phoenix will appear in to make his "return" to acting.
According to Deadline, it might be in Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov's adaptation of the popular book, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. While the title role was just recently snatched up by Benjamin Walker, it appears Phoenix may play the mentor who schools Lincoln in the ways of vampire killing. The actor has not yet agreed to take the role, but that "it's his if he wants it."
