In the opening moments of this video you'll see something like a Snyder-ramped, Victorian take on Korn's Freak on a Leash video. In the woods. Later, there's lots of fighting, buildings falling down and… more Freak on a Leash. He might have taken a few knocks for his brawler Holmes last time around, but Ritchie is obviously sticking to his guns for this sequel(ahem).
Still, this sort of thing could be a lot of fun, just not the Conan Doyle kind. I'm hopeful that the script is up to snuff.
And give yourself a pat on the back if you're picking up on any meaningful plot morsels from these trailers and featurettes. They're really playing more to the style than the substance, I think. Do they not want to tease us with the set-up at all?
