Saturday Trending Topics: Omnibus Ergonomics

Saturday Trending Topics: Omnibus ErgonomicsKris Shaw's Marvel vs DC Omnibus video led to some pretty interesting discussion in the forum today. I'm a pretty big consumer of Omnibuses, archives, and other hc formats from both publishers, and there are lots of little pluses and minuses on both sides of the equation.  But quality across the board on these has generally gotten better from everybody, and I suspect it will continue to do so, because there's also this:  I'm a dedicated print consumer, but wresting with one of the 800 to 1000+ pagers as you're trying to relax on the couch can't help but leave you reaching for the ipad to see if all of the underlying material is available in digital form as well.

Extraordinary Red Band Trailer For God Bless America, Bobcat Goldthwait's Spree-Killer Comedy

Bobcat Goldthwait seems incapable of making films that are any less than provocative, but there's always been lot more to them than posturing and posing, I've loved every single one to date.

The Avengers Mini-Rushes – Superbowl Sneak News, Headgear, Headshots And More

There's going to be a new Avengers promo played during The Superbowl – and, no doubt, online sometime shortly afterwards. In order to promote this trailer (I know, really) Marvel will be playing a ten second excerpt this Tuesday. Trailers for trailers are so established now… how long until trailers for trailers for trailers?

Our First Look At Wreck-It Ralph Himself | Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

Disney's next feature length toon is Wreck-It Ralph, a video game mash-up. The title character plays a somewhat Donkey Kong-ish role in his own game, but he's not too happy with that life, and would like to hop over to something more his style.
