Rupert Murdoch Paywall Protects Public From Doctor Who Spoilers

Rupert Murdoch Paywall Protects Public From Doctor Who Spoilers

According to showrunner Steven Moffat, today's Times newspaper spoils the plot of tonight's Doctor Who completely. He writes

To enjoy Neil Gaiman's wonderful Dr Who tonight, stay away from The Times. Explains the entire plot while claiming not to.

Thankfully, Rupert Murdoch's decision to put The Times behind a paywall makes it a lot harder to spoil the show to the internet, as someone on the internet has to be willing to pay a pound for the privilege, and we all know that no one on the internet ever wants to pay for anything.

However, it is possible that you may come across an abandoned copy of The Times newspaper on a bus, or in a park. You may even find yourself flicking through one in a newsagent by mistake.

So consider this a warning. Steven Moffat says no.
