Superman Comic Rack Topper Sells For 12 Times Expected Price

166261_733057_1This is a Superman Golden Age Christmas comic book rack topper, measuring 14" x 21-1/8" produced in 1940,

At Hake's Americana & Collectibles, selling a number of Superman-related items, it was estimated to sell for $2000 but instead sold for $24,035.

While a Superman Fleischer Cartoons rare linen-mounted poster sold for $17,393 and a Superman mounted movie serial standee sold for $15,028.

Campaign Book For Superman Fleischer Studios/Paramount Pictures theater pressbook sold for $11,500.

Superman Fleischer Studios original Superman color model art, measuring 13" x 16" closed at $10,436 and Superman Sunday Page from McClure Newspaper Syndicate folder that brought $9,867. Another great comic sale was Weird Fantasy #21 CGC 9.8 for $9,108.

A boxed Superman Paint Set estimated to sell from between $700 to $1,000, sold for over ten times that, at $10,752.

Alex Ross original Superman art reached $6,957, Superman Flying Spaceman boxed friction toy $6,957, and Superman Fleischer Studios original Lois Lane color model art for $6,261.
