The Great Dragon Ball Dilemma
On October 9th, Bleeding Cool ran the story that there had been parental complaints that their son had taken out the first volume of the popular manga series Dragon Ball from Pittsville Elementary and Middle School and as a result, the book had been pulled from all appropriately named Wicomico School Libraries.
Returning the books to the shelves, appropriately labelled, apparently proved difficult with Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z having different age-appropriate levels. Now it seems that Dragon Ball has been completely removed from the county school library shelves, and the story has seen considerable publicity.
Then, walking through Time Square the other day, I was handed a copy of The Epoch Times, which details the efforts of Mike Nilsen to put his officially-largest-collection-of-Dragon-Ball-in-the-world on the road, saying;
I figured I should create a children's exhibit so that Dragon Ball fans everywhere could see and enjoy its popularity
and has set up a website to that effect, at DragonBallMuseum.com, adding
Dragon Ball fans range from children to adults. My exhibition will appeal to every generation.
Not in Wicomico County it won't, mate.
