Wolf-Boiling And Property Destruction Tweeted In This Amazing Retelling Of The Three Little Pigs

What follows is a two-minute ad for The Guardian's open journalism, which premiered last night and is just about the most ingenious short film I've seen in a long time. The central concept is this: what if the story of the Three Little Pigs happened in modern day Britain, and the aftermath was left to be picked apart by social media, with new evidence arising from shaky video-camera footage filmed by the public?

Well, the answer is that you'd get actors wearing hilarious and slightly creepy pig-head masks.

Actually the tone of this ad is deadly serious, and it's a fascinating watch. It was directed by Ringan Ledwidge, best known for psychological thriller Gone, and manages to add in a plot twist about halfway through and link the whole situation to the banking crisis.

Wake up and smell the bacon.
