Riri Williams is Shortlisted for a Nobel Prize in the Marvel Universe

Riri Williams is a fifteen-year-old girl who created her own Iron Man-style suit and was mentored by Tony Stark – and an artificial intelligence version of Tony Stark into creating new armours and establishing the identity of Ironheart. And, in the absence of Tony Stark after Civil War II, taking the lead of the Invincible Iron Man comic.

And, for some, she is everything that is wrong with Marvel Comics. With Brian Bendis and Mike Deodato aking an established character and replacing them with a young black woman.

Even though, for some reason, the same complainers never had a reason with James Rhodes doing something similar. But that's how it goes.
