Saga, Locke & Key, Sugar Skull, Julio's Day, Building Stories And You're All Just Jealous Of My Jetpack All Make The Angoulême Official Selection For 2015

Vous-etes-tous-jaloux-de-mon-jetpack_bloc_mediaThe Angoulême Official Selection 2015 lists are out, collecting what the body who put on the world's largest comic book art festival consider to be the best comic book works published this year.

In French.

Notable listed items originally published in English on the Official Selection include Saga by Brian K Vaughan and Fiona Staples, Building Stories by Chris Ware, Sugar Skull by Charles Burns, Julio's Day by Gilbert Hernandez, Locke And Key by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez and You're All Just Jealous Of My Jetpack by Tom Gauld.

While the Crime section sees Gotham Central by Michael Lark, Ed Brubaker and Greg Rucka.

And the Heritage List includes Sandman Vol 4, Frank Miller and Klaus Janson's Daredevil, Dennis O'Neil and Neal Adams' Green Lantern/Green Arrow and Walt Kelly's Pogo.

The last one, bizarrely, has rarely been translated into French, aside from a brief spate during the sixties, despite seeming perfect for a more European audience, something a recent publication corrected.
