Southern Bastards Charity Cover Tops Advance Reorders Chart
Greetings from the coal face of the direct comics market. Where retailers try to increase their orders of certain comics ahead of sale. Where supply and demand and most accurately reflected, where you can see which books are hot, where new orders are coming in and how retailers are reacting to new, unanticipated desire! And the recent announcement of a charity fundraising cover for Southern Bastards seems to have done the trick.
Across the track there are also signs of that Marvel renaissance. Venom, Amazing Spider-Man, IVX, Invincible Iron Man, Star Wars, Gamora, Captain Marvel, Thanos, Captain America: Sam Wilson, Spider-Man, Black Panther and Doctor Strange, all comic book series recently started or mid-way through their runs, that retailers are deciding they should add orders to, for subsequent issues. And also Justice League Vs Suicide Squad, Kill Of Be Killed and an increase in anticipated sales on the upcoming Curse Words.
But these Marvel increases are undeniable. This is not just variant covers, free comics or added discounts, but increased confidence from retaiers. Thought it was worth pointing out.
