This Massive Page Will Soon be Covered in Wonder Woman

We told you that Kelly Sue DeConnick was working on a new Wonder Woman comic for DC as part of its Black Label line back in February. It was later announced and confirmed before #SXSW.

And now Phil Jimenez is about to start work on Wonder Woman: Historia. And has got extra-large artboard to work on. Or what DC Comics used to call standard-size back in the sixties…

He's not the only one, In comments, Lee Bermejo who is working on the Black Label book Batman: Damned with Brian Azzarello added 'Dude, it's a fantastic size to work at. I've been loving it. Widescreen feels REALLY widescreen.'

Yanick Paquette has an eye on the bottom line, 'Damn! I hope you page rate scale in the same proportion.' As did Jill Thompson who asked 'What size is the book going to be? And, I think you need a raise! That's more square footage to deal with!'

Gary Erskine was cautious. 'Never… EVER… hold up a blank sheet of paper on the internet, Phil! You don't know what you'll get back LOL!'

He has a point. Anyone?

Norm Rapmund had page envy. 'That's huge!!!'

While Sean Murphy, who was originally going to work with Scott Snyder for Black Label wrote 'Haha, I remember talking to them about bigger boards for Black Label. I was against it.'

While Olivier Copiel rounded off saying 'Hahahahaha as long as it's a bit rough and not too smooth…(we're still talking paper right?)

We are, Olivier, we are.
