Originally planned and published before the shutdowns and lockdown that have become common around the world, it seems an uncanny moment of prescience on writer James Tynion IV's part, even more so if it had come out on April 1st as originally planned.

As Alfred Pennyworth – or the half-remembered ghost of the man looking more and more like David Niven, turns on the news to very familiar scenes.

While the content and political direction is different, Batman's actions are still seen through the pens of those who created The Authority – who were always the bad guys doing the right thing in the moment. The same tactics that Batman and Alfred use to smack down this riot could be used against any other form of protest, if that's what this billionaire tech genius decides on the spot.
