Will Your Comics Be Delayed This Christmas and New Year?

Christmas Day and New Year's Day land on a Monday this year, which means no skip weeks for December 2017 of January 2018, as have occurred in the past.

Indeed, US stores should see very little change to schedules. Canadian, just a bit, everyone else, it's all up in the air.

For Christmas Day, there are no expected changes for USA comic book stores. Those who pick their orders up at at Diamond's Carson, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas and Boston Drop Points may do so on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 26.

Canadian stores will get deliveries on Wednesday, December 27th rather than the Tuesday, due to the Boxing Day holiday. Canadian drop points will release shipments to day-early pick-up retailers from 2pm.  Shipments to Edmonton and Vancouver Ship (courier) retailers will be delayed 24 hours due to carrier schedules.

And International Stores may experience a 24-48 hour delay due to increased airport activity. So Brits, look for stores to get comics on the Wednesday or Thursday. Be patient.
