Games Workshop Previews More New Models, Pt. 2

Hey there, hobbyists, wargamers, and fans of Games Workshop's various lines of gaming miniatures! Games Workshop revealed a bunch of new models!

So, not long ago, Games Workshop decided, in the midst of the company temporarily shutting down to adhere to laws pertaining to the Coronavirus outbreak, to preview a glut of new models for us as consumers. We here at Bleeding Cool saw all of this, and said, "Hey, there're just so many models here! This will take a lot of images!" And therefore, for our sake just as well as yours, we have decided to split the previews into two major ones: Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, and Warhammer 40,000. We covered Age of Sigmar yesterday, so today we will be looking at the models revealed for Warhammer 40,000.

Admittedly, there are not quite as many new models for Warhammer 40,000 as there are for Age of Sigmar this time around, but that's understandable – after all, Age of Sigmar just got a whole new army they're accounting for, and Warhammer 40,000 did not. Not yet, anyway. (Now that they're in Blackstone Fortress, where's my Zoat army, Games Workshop? Hmmm?)

*ahem*

Okay, so enough blathering. Here's a big deal in the form of Fabius Bile!

From the Warhammer Community official news hub:

Yes, Fabius Bile is back! Congratulations if you picked up on the not-so-subtle hints that we've been dropping. This iconic character has spent 10,000 years terrorising the galaxy, and this glorious new model perfectly encapsulates his warped genius. He's the last of the original "classic" Chaos Space Marines characters to be updated and, just like with Abaddon, Ahriman and Khârn, he's well worth the wait. […]

As well as returning with an epic new model, Fabius is also the cover star of the next book in the Psychic Awakening saga – War of the Spider. As he spins his plans and schemes, his enemies close in on him – the Death Guard, Officio Assassinorum and Talons of the Emperor all have their reasons for wanting to stop Bile. Along with background on the battles taking place amid the ruins of the Cadia System, the book will include new rules for the Adeptus Custodes, Sisters of Silence and Imperial Assassins. There are also additional rules for each of the seven Plague Companies of the Death Guard and a new Chaos Space Marines sub-faction called Agents of Bile, representing the twisted creations of the Clonefather.

In addition to our beloved Clonefather, we have Lieutenant Amulius, in the Horus Heresy line of models from the grimdark world of Warhammer 40,000.

[We're] making Amulius available to buy online, and everyone can get one. He'll be available to order for just two weeks and we'll ship him right out to you as soon as we're back up and running.

Last but definitely not least, we have a hugely-relevant centerpiece model that I actually glossed over when looking into the previews shown. Shame on me! Anyway, we have Lion El'Jonson, Primarch of the I Legion.

The new Lion El'Jonson model is every inch the perfect embodiment of the questing knight. He is clad in the finest armour available and covered in the iconography of the Dark Angels. The Primarch also comes with the option to be assembled with or without his helmet. This impeccable fighter even has a choice of which weapon he will cut through the traitors with – the Lion Sword or the Wolf Blade. Finally, his gaming base slots into a diorama base with a heap of dead Night Lords at his feet, representing part of the bloody Thramas campaign. You can, of course, paint the dead Space Marines in any colour, even black (winks in Heresy).

What do you think of these new models for Warhammer 40,000? Are they models that pique your interest? Let us know your thoughts!
