Acclaim, working with Australian solo developer Rowan Edmondson, announced that their upcoming game, Ground Zero Hero, will launch on August 20. The big tagline for this game is that it's "Vampire Survivors meets Rick and Morty," and boy, does it show, as the game takes a lot of mechanics from survivors-esque and roguelike systems and mixes them into a cartoon apocalyptic world. You'll fight off all sorts of enemies, then use what remains of them to be absorbed and utilized to make new weapons, defenses, and other fun toys to continue living and beat bigger monsters on the way. The game currently has a free demo on Steam to try out, as it will be out in about two weeks for PC and all three major consoles.
