Ra's al Ghul, the New Leader of Batman and the Outsiders for Year of the Villain?

Fans of writer Bryan Hill's story in Detective Comics last year were excited to learn that Hill and Dexter Soy would continue the tale of Black Lightning leading Batman's new team of Outsiders in a new ongoing series… only to be disappointed when the series debut was pushed back. But it looks like there was good reason for the change, as the series now lines up with Year of the Villain, launching in July, and seeing Lex Luthor visit the villains of the DC Universe to make them something called "The Offer" in an attempt to finally defeat the DC Universe heroes once and for all.

In Batman and the Outsiders #3 in July, according to DC's solicitations, Luthor's offer will be to Ra's al Ghul, and he has a plan that could help Luthor transform Batman's new misfit team into a new League of Assassins! One would think that outcome seems unlikely, considering the team is called Batman and the Outsiders and not Ra's al Ghul and the League of Assassins… but Year of the Villain is a big deal and it's gotta make some lasting changes to be worthwhile as a super-mega-crossover event conglomerate, right

Check out the solicit below:
