Adam Scott Gets A Star Wars Surprise More Than 3 Decades In The Making

Yesterday was May 4th — Star Wars Day — and the Force was most definitely with Adam Scott last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Scott tells guest host Kristen Bell of how when he was a kid, he wrote a letter inviting Mark Hamill to his birthday party (he says his second, but references Empire, which came out when he was 7). Sadly, Hamill didn't show up for the party. But he did show up last night, presenting a blue lightsaber to a flabbergasted Scott. Judging by his shaking hands as Hamill made his dramatic entrance, Scott was genuinely surprised and excited to meet his childhood hero (either that, or he's an incredible actor).
