Wrestling Legend Ric Flair Is Now A Cop

flair

Ever since WWE Hall of Famer Donald Trump was elected President of the United States, the pro wrestling industry has been seizing more and more positions of power throughout the U.S. government. First, there was the appointment of former WWE CEO Linda McMahon as the head of Trump's Small Business Association, actually one of the President Elect's more qualified picks, in comparison to some others. Now, sixteen time world champion "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair has become a Clayton County, Georgia sheriff's deputy. Yes, the dirtiest player in the game is now on the side of the law.

While the position is an honorary one, it could be just the beginning of wrestlers gaining power all over the United States. Former WWE tag team champion and ECW champion Rhyno recently ran for state representative in Dearborn, Michagan, but was unable to gore his way to victory. In Houston, Texas, former world champion Booker T recently announced his intentions to run for mayor in 2020, while Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has expressed interest in a 2020 presidential campaign.

It's probably too early to call this a full blown coup, but it's worth keeping an eye on this story, as authority storylines in pro wrestling never seem to end well.
