Angela Bassett Says Black Panther Will Be "Quite Phenomenal"

There are a lot of big movies coming out next year, but one of the biggest ones is going to be Black Panther. Everything about this movie looks like nothing we've ever seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's going to be a monumental event for movie fans who have been waiting decades to see this character end up on screen. It also boasts a fantastic cast, and one of those cast members is Angela Bassett as Queen of Wakanda Ramonda. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Bassett talked about the movie and how excited she is for it:

Angela Bassett Says Black Panther Will Be "Quite Phenomenal"

"I am so stoked, so thrilled. It is going to be absolutely amazing. I heard a little word that as they're putting it together that it's just looking and feeling amazing and I'm just glad that all that we felt while we were making it is really translating to the screen. So, get ready, get ready. It's going to be quite phenomenal."

To see someone with as much clout as Bassett actually excited over a superhero movie says a lot. We only know so much about Black Panther at the moment but it does have a February 2018 release date. We should expect a second trailer in the coming months, and once Thor: Ragnarok comes out, we can expect the marketing to really kick into high gear. We know that Black Panther has a role to play in Avengers: Infinity War, and it's going to be exciting to see how this movie sets up T'Challa and his supporting cast for that huge team-up movie.

Summary: T'Challa, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king.

Black Panther, directed Ryan Coogler, stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, and Martin Freeman. It will be released on February 16th, 2018.
