Hot on the heels that Josh Hutcherson will portray actor Phillip Haldiman in James Franco's production of The Disaster Artist comes word that the actor/director has found his Lisa, Claudette and Mike.
The film recounts the making of Tommy Wiseau's The Room, one of the most legendary "so-bad-it's-good" movies ever made. Franco will direct and play Wiseau while his brother Dave Franco will portray Greg Sestero, the actor and friend of Wiseau who would go on to write about his experiences making the film in the book The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside the Room with writer Tom Bissell.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ari Graynor will play actress Juliette Danielle, the woman who embodied the beautiful Lisa in The Room. They also report Jacki Weaver is in talks to play Carolyn Minnott, who played Claudette in Wiseau's opus. Hannibul Buress and Andrew Santino have also joined as the owner of the studio space where the film was shot and actor Scott Holmes, respectively.
The film recently found a home at New Line, but Franco has been developing the project since he swooped in and bought the rights to The Disaster Artist shortly before it was published. Production is scheduled to being today.
UPDATE: THR reports model-turned-actress Kate Upton has also joined the film in an undisclosed role.
