Brendon and I saw Vincenzo Natali's Haunter at FrightFest earlier this year and we both liked it, with reservations. At the time I said the following,
A wonderfully twisty and tricksy plot but it doesn't entirely coalesce in the film's final act.Vincenzo Natali's direction is smart and often rather inventive but there is too much reliance at times on post production trickery that isn't of a particularly high standard.
A clip from the film has been released, which I first saw posted at Bloody Disgusting, and it introduces us to to Stephen McHattie as 'The Pale Man'.
To say much about his character would, I think, give away some of the twists and turns the story takes and I think they are perhaps the film's greatest strengths.
Haunter will be out in American cinemas and on VOD on the 18th of October.
