If You Can't Beat Them – Agents Of SHIELD To Feature Scene From Avengers: Age Of Ultron

As we all know the original plan was for Marvel to debut the trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron tomorrow night after Marvel's Agents of SHIELD. The idea being to give their television offshoot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe a nice ratings bump. That all went to hell as the trailer was leaked on-line. Marvel did the smart thing and immediately put out the high-rez official version so most folks first impression didn't come from an inferior version.

So what to do about Agents of SHIELD? You give them an exclusive scene from the movie instead. As the video below show, a scene from Avengers: Age of Ultron will run at the end of the episode. Now will it be the scene that was shown at Comic-con? That would be my guess. But then again something else is up tomorrow as well. Marvel has put together a press and fan event at the El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles for October 28th.

There is a lot of speculation about what the event tomorrow will be… Maybe Marvel will fill in the movie slate as Warner Bros/DC did recently. Maybe they'll officially announce who is playing Doctor Strange (Deadline says Benedict Cumberbatch). Or maybe tomorrow night's clip after SHIELD shows us someone that we don't know about yet…

With folks talking about all the DC movies that were just announced, my guess is that tomorrow will lock in some of the movie slate and give us a couple casting announcements so folks will be talking about Marvel again.
