IMDB Users' Top 25 Movies And Movie Stars Of 2010

If you have an IMDB log in (I do, but I've barely ever done anything with it) then you can go beyond just looking up That One Guy and everything he's ever done and give your own star-rating to the films. At year's end, the IMDB have just revealed 2010's most appreciated films by the users and abusers of this service.

The big surprise there is Unthinkable, I'd say. Directed by Buffalo Soldiers and The Informers' Gregor Jordan, it completely slipped past me on release here in the UK. Of course, that release was direct to disc. I'm most curious to see it now, to see if I can find any clues as to why it please the IMDB crowd so much.

There's nothing surprising about the top 3 films, though. We're seeing those, in some order or another, topping off a lot of year end lists.

Beyond this, the site has also compiled its list of "the top 25 stars for 2010". These rankings, the IMDB explain, "are not based upon critical assessments or box-office performance but the actual search behavior of the more than 100 million monthly unique users of".
